The HiSET is a series of 5 tests: Reading, Writing. Social Studies, Science and Math.  We are offering both in-person and zoom classes. Spring semester will start    Feb 1, 2022.

The HiSET Preparation Program is a set of  teacher-directed classes in Reading, Writing, Social Studies, Science and Math including the Open Lab for both offline and online individualized support. A ninth grade reading level is required for this program, If a student doesn't meet the ninth grade reading level they will be referred to our Adult Basic Education (ABE) program to build their skills and then transition back to the HiSET program.

When classes are in session our LBSA Main Office hours are Monday - Thursday 9 am - 7:00 pm  and Friday 9 am - 4:00 pm. When classes are not in session Office Hours are Monday - Friday 9 am - 4:00 pm                                                                                                                                                                                    

Spring semester Classes begin:  Feb 1, 2022 - May 28, 2022

Steps to Enroll in HiSET Preparation 

Step 1: Attend  orientation and assessment. See the Orientation Schedule by clicking the blue orientation tab on the left side of the homepage of this website.

 Step 2: Create an account and complete assessment tests to determine program placement. 

 Step 3: Once placement level is determined, you will be clicked into class or put on a wait list. 

 Step 4:  Get your start date and attend Class orientation.  

Orientations start on time, no student will be allowed to enter an orientation after it has begun.  If you do not attend the class orientation you will be dropped.

Please save at least 2  hours to complete this process. Enrollment process must be completed before you can start attending class.

Attendance is very important, a 80% attendance rate is required for all LBSA classes.  Commit today!

  • Monday - Thursday                Monday and Wednesday we offer Reading/Writing, and Math Level 1                                                             and  Level 2
  • 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM
  • Room B3                                  Tuesday and Thursday we offer Science and Social Studies
