Adult Basic Education (ABE)
Adult Basic Education, ABE, is a program that will help you build your basic academic skills in reading comprehension, writing, and mathematics. Students work on reviewing or learning these skills until they have 40 hours of instruction in ABE. ABE students will test after 40 hours of instruction to see if they can score at a 9th grade reading level to promote to HSD or HiSET Prep credit classes . Your score must be 237 or higher to be promoted to the next program. If you don't score 237 you need another 40 hours of ABE. We all have our own path to earn our diploma or certificate of completion. We look forward to helping you on your journey.
