Every year on Halloween, the Press-Telegram publishes the winners of its Scary Stories contest, the spookiest tales and artwork from Long Beach-area students, and the P.T. is again looking for the best entries.
There will be three age categories for stories and drawings: elementary school (K-5), middle school (6-8), and high school.
Here are the rules:
• The deadline is 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18.
• For story submissions, please fill out this online form. No mail or in-person submissions will be accepted.
• For artwork submissions, all entries must be emailed, with the subject line “Scary Stories,” to: ptnews@presstelegram. Drawings should be submitted in JPEG format, no larger than 5MG in size.
• Stories must be no longer than 650 words.
• Artwork must be original (no tracings)
• Entries will be judged based on imagination, creativity and theme.
•The winning entries will be published in the Press-Telegram on Oct. 27, and posted online.
