HiSET Home Study Program
HiSET Home Study Program 2021 - 2022
The HiSET Home Study Program is designed to support working adults and adults who cannot attend regular HiSET Prep classes and need a flexible option to prepare for the HiSET exam. Registration: Step 1: Schedule and attend an LBSA orientation and assessment appointment. See the Orientation Schedule by clicking the blue orientation tab on the left side of this page.
Step 2: Create an LBSA account and get a student ID number.
Step 3: Complete a reading assessment test to determine program placement. To qualify for the Home Studies program you must score a 241 or above on the Reading assessment test.
Step 4: Once placement level is determined, you will be placed in the appropriate class or on a waiting list.
Step 5: If you are enrolled obtain the start date for your program. Orientations start on time. NO student will be allowed to enter an orientation after it has begun.
HiSET Distance Learning is offered mornings, afternoons, and evenings.
, Main Office hours: Monday - Thursday 9 am - 7:00 pm and Friday 9 am - 4:00 pm.

HiSet Home Study Program
Once enrolled in the program, you will:
- Attend instructor's office hours once a week
- Pinpoint your strengths & weaknesses by taking 5 subject pre-tests
- Review HiSET subject areas to study
- Check out Work Packets
- Complete the Work Packets and on-line lessons at home
- Meet with your Instructor weekly to review and correct your work
- Check out the next set of Work Packets
- Take the “Official HiSET Practice Test”
- Register to take the HiSET Exam!
